Bouncyrock releases are free, so there's no obligation to send money this way. But after many questions about donations, I'm putting up a paypal button. It could help with keeping the website running.

About two months ago, Jonny came to me with an idea to start developing games for the iPhone/iPod Touch.   So I quickly snatched my wide-rimmed hat, leather whip, WWII pistol and sat down at my PC (boo!) – Our adventures in Indie development had begun!

And like all great adventures, we met a friend while traveling these unfamiliar and dangerous roads.  He hailed from the small village of Lucas Arts and was on a quest of his own (designing a game) and needed help finishing it.  So of course, we accepted this side-quest and have been working with him for several weeks now on Art, Sound, Story and Level Design.

The game is a Metroid/Megaman-Inspired title aimed to give a classic/nostalgic feel with some updated bells and whistles.  We’re shooting to release in Jan/Feb 2010, depending on how quick we can implement some final touches, but most of the game is complete (and FUN).  If you enjoy 2D puzzle sidescrollers, you’ll have a blast with this!

Here are some WIP Screenshots… More info will be posted in the coming days!

So this is a big part of why Misery Stone has been so slow out the door.  But timing-wise, with DA:O and all the other big NWN2 mods wrapping up, the delay isn’t that painful.  And let’s face it… who really cares about this dumb module anyway? ;)

Sounds like a fun project, best of luck with it!

And if Misery Stone doesn’t get released soon, I shall be forced to send my Swedish hitmen after you. :p

I hope that this does not mean the end to Misery Stone. I have been looking forward to another Ravenloft offering, and I love the use of the overland map.

Cool stuff. This is a great way to get your name out there.

      Thanks everyone!

No worries, Tauschitz, Misery Stone will be released very soon! Likely before the end of this month. It’s playable enough to release right now, but there’s still some minor details I need to work on because I’d rather not have to update later on! :P

Sweet mobile action. Had my students just finish up an iPhone app for a project and they retain zero love for objective C. How’d you get away with not doing this one a Mac? I was under the impression that only xcode could compile for the appstore.

Anyhow, we’re going to try our hands at Droid apps in Java this semester to see if it stings any less.

Jonny and I are currently playing it through the engine. Alex (the one we joined) has a mac to compile the code. I’m pretty high-level on the project, so the infrastructure is Sanskrit to me at this point! :P

Your game looks cool. I’m not a sidescrolling fan anymore, but this is one of the better ones I;ve seen. Killer plants help.

As for Mys stone, what are the chances that we’ll see more NWN2 related stuff from you folks now that you’re big shot indie developers. :)

Have you folks tried sending your portfolio to BioWare for a DAO DLC?

Hope the iphone app works for you. Good to see you all merging into a tight group and hope to see more from BouncyRock.

Woah! I missed this post! Sorry. Sounds cool! Good luck with the project. I hope this develops into something big.
